YCPWeb for Parents

For Students to set up a Parent or Guardian Proxy Access Account

Students have the ability to grant access to their student records using YCPWeb for Parents. The person receiving permissions will be able to access account and billing information, grades and more, based on student preferences.

 1. Go to https://my.ycp.edu and log into MyYCP. After you are logged in, click on the YCPWeb icon under Main Applications (Figure 1).

2. Under the Main Menu in YCPWeb, click on the YCPWeb for Parents link (Figure 2).

3. Within the YCPWeb for Parents Menu, click on the YCPWeb for Parents - Proxy Management link (Figure 3).

4. To add a parent or guardian, click on Add Proxy (Figure 4).

5.Enter the First Name, Last Name, and Valid Email Address for the person you would like to add. After that information has been entered, Click on Add Proxy (Figure 5).

6. Click on Expand to enter additional information (Figure 6).

7. There are three tabs; Profile, Authorization, and Communication. Under the Profile tab, click on the drop down menu for the Relationship description. You can also enter a description such as 'Mom' but it's not required. A start date and stop date for proxy access are required (Figure 7). The information is automatically saved as it's entered and can be modified at any time. Click on Authentication tab once all of the Profile information is complete. At this point, an email has been sent to the person whom was entered telling them an account has been created for them.

Once the Stop Date is meet your parent will no longer be able to access the account. By default this is is only a year. Please discuss this with your parent so the correct stop date can be set to avoid future confusion.

8. Click on the check boxes for the items you wish to authorize your parent/guest to view. Clicking on the check box for a category will select all the pages for that category. If wanted, an email with the Authentication settings can be sent to the person entered by clicking on the E-mail Authentication link (Figure 8).

9. The Communication tab shows you the status of the proxy contact that was added. The proxy information can be resent to the person by clicking on the Resend button (Figure 9).

10. If finished, you can exit out of YCPWeb and close the browser.
